CRAC Bilingual Exam Manual (Class A / B / C) | 中国业余无线电台操作技术能力验证英中对照手册
This section covers Amateur Station Call Signs with 33 bilingual questions from the CRAC 2025 question bank. Each question shows the original Chinese (left) and the English translation (right). The correct answer is highlighted in green, followed by a Knowledge Point Analysis and Candidate Tips covering US–China differences, common pitfalls, and real on-air practice.
Class badges ABC indicate which license-class syllabus includes each question. Class A is the entry level, Class B adds HF privileges, and Class C is the advanced level.
The method prescribed by the Measures for the Administration of Amateur Radio Stations (《业余无线电台管理办法》) for correctly using an amateur radio station call sign is: (Choose all that apply.)
- AThe unit or individual using the amateur radio station should transmit its own call sign at the beginning and the end of each contact
- BDuring the contact, transmit its own call sign at irregular intervals (not exceeding 10 minutes apart)
- CAmateur radio stations are encouraged to transmit the call sign automatically by technical means during contacts
- DThe unit or individual may use a name, code, suitable alias, or part of the call-sign digits/letters in place of the full call sign as the station identifier
The Measures require sending your own call sign at the start and end of each contact (A), at intervals no longer than 10 minutes during the contact (B), and encourage automatic transmission by technical means (C). Using a name/alias/partial call sign instead of the full call sign (D) is explicitly prohibited.
US–China difference: US FCC Part 97 has the same “ID every 10 minutes and at end of contact” rule — a near-identical requirement.
Common pitfall: Thinking an alias or partial call sign suffices; the full call sign must be sent.
Real on-air practice: You give “BG1XYZ” at the start, every 10 minutes, and at the end of a 2 m QSO.
业余无线电台呼号的核发流程是:
- A无线电管理机构颁发业余无线电台执照,应当同时向申请人核发业余无线电台呼号
- B在向无线电管理机构委托的受理服务机构提交设台申请窗口后,由服务机构核发呼号
- C无线电管理机构核发业余无线电台执照后,由申请人再向其申请核发呼号
- D业余无线电台设台人在提交设台申请的同时提出所要求指配的呼号,经服务机构同意后,报无线电管理机构正式核发
The process for issuing an amateur radio station call sign is:
- AWhen the radio management authority issues the amateur radio station license, it should simultaneously issue the call sign to the applicant
- BAfter submitting the station application at the service agency entrusted by the radio management authority, the agency issues the call sign
- CAfter the authority issues the license, the applicant separately applies to it for issuance of the call sign
- DThe applicant proposes a desired assigned call sign when submitting the application; after the service agency agrees, it is formally issued by the radio management authority
The call sign is issued together with the station license by the radio management authority (A). The service agency does not issue call signs (B), you do not apply for the call sign separately after the license (C), and you cannot choose your own call sign for the authority to ratify (D).
US–China difference: In the US you may request a specific call sign (vanity) via the FCC; China assigns the call sign at license issuance with no applicant choice.
Common pitfall: Thinking you pick your own call sign or that a service agency issues it.
Real on-air practice: You receive your assigned call sign on the same day your license is granted.
When the radio management authority issues an amateur radio station license, if the applicant already holds an amateur radio call sign other than a repeater or beacon call sign, the authority will:
- Anot issue a new amateur radio station call sign
- Bthe applicant applies again for a call sign and the authority issues a new one
- Cthe authority replaces the applicant’s call sign
- Dthe applicant proposes a desired call sign with the application; after the service agency agrees, it is formally issued by the authority
One person gets one general call sign; if you already hold a general amateur call sign (not a repeater/beacon one), the authority will not issue you another when licensing a new station (A). It will not replace it (C) or let you choose a new one (B, D).
US–China difference: The US allows multiple licenses/call signs per person; China issues one general call sign per individual.
Common pitfall: Thinking a second station gets a second personal call sign — it reuses your existing one.
Real on-air practice: Adding a second station still uses your original BG1XYZ call sign.
业余无线电台呼号停止使用的,下列说法正确的是:
- A业余无线电台呼号停止使用的,应当依法予以注销
- B除业余中继台、业余信标台呼号外,其他业余无线电台呼号注销1年后,无线电管理机构可以将相关电台呼号重新投入分配
- C业余无线电台呼号停止使用的,不用申请注销
- D除业余中继台、业余信标台呼号外,其他业余无线电台呼号注销后,无线电管理机构可立即将相关电台呼号重新投入分配
When an amateur radio station call sign is discontinued, which of the following statements is correct? (Choose all that apply.)
- AWhen a call sign is discontinued, it should be lawfully cancelled
- BExcept for repeater and beacon call signs, one year after cancellation of another call sign the radio management authority may re-allocate that call sign
- CWhen a call sign is discontinued, no cancellation application is needed
- DExcept for repeater and beacon call signs, after cancellation the authority may immediately re-allocate the call sign
A discontinued call sign must be cancelled (A), and — except for repeater/beacon call signs — may be re-allocated only after a 1-year holding period (B). Failing to cancel (C) and immediate re-allocation (D) are both wrong.
US–China difference: The US also has call-sign reissue waiting periods, but the exact 1-year rule for general calls is China-specific.
Common pitfall: Confusing “immediate” re-allocation with the required 1-year wait.
Real on-air practice: If BG1XYZ is cancelled, no one gets it again for at least a year.
注销的电台呼号重新投入分配前,申请人再次申请设置、使用业余无线电台,下列说法正确的是:
- A无线电管理机构经审查决定颁发业余无线电台执照的,应当同时核发申请人已注销的电台呼号
- B无线电管理机构经审查决定颁发业余无线电台执照的,应当同时核发新的的电台呼号
- C电台呼号注销后,将不再向申请人核发电台呼号
- D电台呼号注销后,申请人不能再次申请设置、使用业余无线电台
Before a cancelled call sign is re-allocated, if the applicant applies again to establish and operate an amateur radio station, which of the following is correct?
- AIf the authority, upon review, decides to issue the station license, it should simultaneously issue the applicant’s previously cancelled call sign
- BIf the authority, upon review, decides to issue the station license, it should simultaneously issue a new call sign
- CAfter cancellation, no call sign will ever be issued to the applicant again
- DAfter cancellation, the applicant may not apply again to establish and operate a station
Before a cancelled call sign is re-allocated, a returning applicant who is granted a license gets their old call sign back (A). The authority does not issue a new one in this case (B), and cancellation does not bar re-issuance or re-application (C, D wrong).
US–China difference: The US also lets former holders reclaim a call sign before it is reissued, but via a vanity request.
Common pitfall: Thinking cancellation permanently loses the call sign — you can reclaim it before re-allocation.
Real on-air practice: Returning after a lapse, you can get BG1XYZ back if it hasn’t been re-allocated.
在他人依法设置的业余无线电台上进行发射操作的,下列说法正确的是:
- A应当使用所操作业余无线电台的呼号或者实际操作人员取得的呼号
- B使用实际操作人员取得的呼号的,业余无线电台通联期间发送呼号的格式应当符合国内国际相关要求
- C不可在他人依法设置的业余无线电台上进行发射操作
- D业余无线电爱好者只能在自己设置的业余无线电台上进行发射操作
When operating (transmitting) on another person’s lawfully established amateur radio station, which of the following is correct? (Choose all that apply.)
- AYou should use the call sign of the station being operated, or the call sign obtained by the actual operator
- BWhen using the actual operator’s own call sign, the call-sign format sent during contacts should comply with domestic and international requirements
- COperating on another’s lawfully established station is not permitted
- DAn amateur may only operate on a station they themselves established
You may operate another’s station and must identify with either the station’s call sign or your own operator call sign (A); if you use your own, the format must meet domestic/international rules (B). Operating on others’ stations is permitted (C, D wrong).
US–China difference: The US similarly allows “control operator” identification with either the station or operator call sign; China follows the same principle.
Common pitfall: Believing you can only use your own station — guest operation is allowed with proper ID.
Real on-air practice: Operating a friend’s station, you might send “BG1XYZ op BG2ABC” using your own call sign.
满足下列哪些条件,可以临时使用其他业余无线电台呼号?
- A参加或者举办业余无线电通联比赛以及其他重大业余无线电活动
- B经比赛(活动)主办方(牵头单位)报国家无线电管理机构批准
- C其他业余无线电台呼号符合国际规则
- D何时何地都不能临时使用其他业余无线电台呼号
Which of the following conditions allow the temporary use of another amateur radio station’s call sign? (Choose all that apply.)
- AParticipating in or hosting an amateur radio contest or other major amateur radio activity
- BApproved by the national radio management authority via the contest (event) organizer (lead unit)
- CThe other call sign complies with international rules
- DA different call sign may never be used temporarily under any circumstances
Temporary use of another call sign is allowed for contests/major events (A) with national-authority approval through the organizer (B), provided the borrowed call sign complies with international rules (C). It is not absolutely prohibited (D wrong).
US–China difference: The US allows “special event” call signs via FCC coordination; China requires explicit national-authority approval for temporary foreign/other call signs.
Common pitfall: Thinking you can never use another call sign — temporary use is possible with approval.
Real on-air practice: A club uses a special-event call sign during a national Field Day with prior approval.
关于业余无线电台呼号,下列说法正确的是:
- A呼号第一部分为呼号前缀
- B呼号第二部分为电台种类
- C呼号第三部分为分区编号
- D呼号第四部分为呼号后缀
Which of the following statements about an amateur radio station call sign is correct? (Choose all that apply.)
- AThe first part of the call sign is the call-sign prefix
- BThe second part is the station type
- CThe third part is the district number
- DThe fourth part is the call-sign suffix
A Chinese call sign has four parts: prefix (A), station type (B), district number (C), and suffix (D). All four statements correctly describe the structure (e.g., B G 1 XYZ: prefix B, type G, district 1, suffix XYZ).
US–China difference: US call signs (e.g., K1ABC) also follow ITU prefix+separator+digit+suffix structure, but the “station type” letter is a China-specific component.
Common pitfall: Misidentifying which segment is the district number versus the suffix.
Real on-air practice: Hearing “BG1XYZ,” you read prefix B (China), type G (general), district 1 (Beijing), suffix XYZ.
关于业余无线电台呼号前缀,下列说法正确的是:
- A呼号前缀(呼号第一部分)由一位字母组成
- B为国际电信联盟分配的呼号前缀字母B
- C为国际电信联盟分配的呼号前缀字母BA
- D为国际电信联盟分配的呼号前缀字母A
Which of the following statements about the amateur radio station call-sign prefix is correct? (Choose all that apply.)
- AThe call-sign prefix (first part) consists of one letter
- BIt is the call-sign prefix letter B allocated by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU)
- CIt is the call-sign prefix letters BA allocated by the ITU
- DIt is the call-sign prefix letter A allocated by the ITU
China’s call-sign prefix is the single letter B, allocated by the ITU (A, B). “BA” and “A” are not China’s prefix (C, D wrong).
US–China difference: US prefixes are K, N, W, A* (with digit); China uses the single letter B as its ITU block.
Common pitfall: Confusing B with BA or A; China’s amateur prefix is just “B”.
Real on-air practice: Every Chinese call sign starts with B (e.g., BG1XYZ, BH3ABC).
关于电台种类(呼号第二部分),下列说法正确的是:
- A字母G、H、I、D、A、B、C、E、F、K、L用于一般业余无线电台呼号
- B字母J用于空间业余无线电台呼号
- C字母R用于业余中继台和业余信标台呼号
- D字母S、T、Y、Z以及其他字母序列的业余无线电台呼号由国家无线电管理机构保留
Which of the following statements about station type (the second part of the call sign) is correct? (Choose all that apply.)
- AThe letters G, H, I, D, A, B, C, E, F, K, L are used for general amateur radio station call signs
- BThe letter J is used for space amateur radio station call signs
- CThe letter R is used for amateur repeater and amateur beacon station call signs
- DCall signs with letters S, T, Y, Z and other letter sequences are reserved by the national radio management authority
The station-type letter (second part) follows a fixed scheme: G/H/I/D/A/B/C/E/F/K/L for general stations (A), J for space stations (B), R for repeaters and beacons (C), and S/T/Y/Z plus other sequences reserved by the national authority (D). All four are correct.
US–China difference: US call signs don’t embed a station-type letter this way; China’s scheme is distinctive.
Common pitfall: Not memorizing which letter maps to repeater (R) vs space (J).
Real on-air practice: BR1xxx is a Beijing repeater; BJ1xxx would be a space station.
关于分区编号(呼号第三部分),下列说法正确的是:
- A由一位数字组成
- B用于表示业余无线电台分区号
- C空间业余无线电台分区号为1
- D空间业余无线电台分区号为2
Which of the following statements about the district number (the third part of the call sign) is correct? (Choose all that apply.)
- AIt consists of one digit
- BIt is used to indicate the amateur radio station district number
- CThe district number of a space amateur radio station is 1
- DThe district number of a space amateur radio station is 2
The district number is a single digit indicating the amateur station district (A, B); for space stations the district number is 1 (C). It is not 2 (D wrong).
US–China difference: US call signs place the region digit after the prefix (e.g., K1, W6); China uses it as the third segment for district coding.
Common pitfall: Mixing up space-station district (1) with a regular district number.
Real on-air practice: BJ1xxx — district 1 marks it as a space station regardless of province.
关于呼号后缀(呼号第四部分),下列说法正确的是:
- A由1~4位的字母或者字母和数字的组合组成
- B1位、4位呼号后缀,以及带有数字的呼号后缀由国家无线电管理机构保留
- CQOA~QUZ及SOS、XXX、TTT等可能与遇险信号或类似性质的其他信号混淆的字母组合不用作呼号后缀
- D呼号后缀由1~4位数字组成
Which of the following statements about the call-sign suffix (the fourth part) is correct? (Choose all that apply.)
- AIt consists of 1 to 4 letters, or a combination of letters and digits
- B1-digit and 4-digit suffixes, and suffixes containing digits, are reserved by the national radio management authority
- CLetter combinations such as QOA–QUZ, SOS, XXX, TTT that could be confused with distress or similar signals are not used as suffixes
- DThe suffix consists of 1 to 4 digits
The suffix is 1–4 letters or letter/digit mixes (A); 1-digit, 4-digit, and digit-bearing suffixes are reserved (B); and distress-confusable groups (QOA–QUZ, SOS, XXX, TTT) are excluded (C). The suffix is not purely numeric (D wrong).
US–China difference: US suffixes are likewise 1–4 characters and avoid reserved groups; China explicitly reserves digit-bearing suffixes.
Common pitfall: Thinking the suffix is numeric only, or that any letter group is allowed.
Real on-air practice: A normal suffix like XYZ (3 letters) is issued; SOS would never be assigned.
各省、自治区、直辖市无线电管理机构核发一般业余无线电台呼号时,下列说法正确的是:
- A呼号第二部分按照G、H、I、D、A、B、C、E、F、K、L顺序
- B第四部分按照双字母、三字母组合顺序依次编制并核发业余无线电台呼号
- C各省、自治区、直辖市无线电管理机构核发的业余无线电台呼号前缀都相同
- D各省、自治区、直辖市无线电管理机构核发的业余无线电台呼号的分区号都相同
When provincial radio management authorities issue general amateur radio station call signs, which of the following is correct? (Choose all that apply.)
- AThe second part follows the order G, H, I, D, A, B, C, E, F, K, L
- BThe fourth part is compiled and issued in order of two-letter, then three-letter combinations
- CThe prefix issued by all provincial authorities is the same
- DThe district number issued by all provincial authorities is the same
Provinces assign the type letter in the fixed G/H/I/D/A/B/C/E/F/K/L sequence (A), build suffixes from two-letter then three-letter combos (B), and all use the same national prefix B (C). The district number differs by province (D wrong) — that’s how you tell the region.
US–China difference: US regions are encoded in the prefix digit; China encodes region in the third-part district number while keeping prefix B uniform.
Common pitfall: Thinking the prefix varies by province — only the district number does.
Real on-air practice: BG1 vs BG7 tells you Beijing vs Guangdong, though both start with BG.
业余无线电爱好者对已核发给自己的电台呼号不满意,是否可以申请另行核发业余无线电台呼号?
- A不可以。颁发业余无线电台执照的无线电管理机构已经为申请人核发业余无线电台呼号的,不另行核发其他业余无线电台呼号
- B更新所设置的业余无线电台类别时可以申请另行核发业余无线电台呼号
- C可以申请另行核发业余无线电台呼号,但须缴纳额外的费用
- D业余无线电台执照有效期届满、设台人向核发执照的无线电管理机构申请办理延续手续时可以申请另行核发业余无线电台呼号
If an amateur radio operator is dissatisfied with the call sign already issued to them, may they apply for a different amateur radio station call sign to be issued?
- ANo. Once the radio management authority that issued the license has issued a call sign to the applicant, it will not issue another call sign
- BOne may apply for a different call sign when upgrading the station class
- COne may apply for a different call sign but must pay an extra fee
- DOne may apply for a different call sign when renewing the license at expiry
You cannot get a replacement call sign just because you dislike the one assigned — once issued, no other call sign is given (A). Upgrading class, paying a fee, or renewing do not entitle you to a new call sign (B, C, D wrong).
US–China difference: The US allows vanity call signs for a fee; China does not reissue based on preference.
Common pitfall: Assuming you can swap to a “nicer” call sign on renewal or upgrade.
Real on-air practice: You keep BG1XYZ for life unless it is cancelled and re-allocated.
各地业余无线电台呼号前缀字母和后缀字符的可用范围的确定方法是:
- A由国家无线电管理机构编制和分配
- B地方无线电管理机构根据当地呼号资源的使用情况自行分配
- C地方无线电民间组织提出建议,当地无线电管理机构批准
- D由业余无线电爱好者根据需求提出建议,当地无线电管理机构批准
The method for determining the available ranges of call-sign prefix letters and suffix characters in each locality is:
- Acompiled and allocated by the national radio management authority
- Ballocated by local radio management authorities on their own based on local call-sign resource usage
- Cproposed by local amateur civil organizations and approved by the local authority
- Dproposed by amateurs based on need and approved by the local authority
The available prefix-letter and suffix-character ranges are compiled and allocated centrally by the national radio management authority (A). Local authorities or amateur organizations do not decide these on their own (B, C, D wrong).
US–China difference: The US call-sign structure is set by the FCC; China’s is set nationally and applied uniformly by provinces.
Common pitfall: Thinking local clubs or provinces design their own call-sign ranges.
Real on-air practice: The B-prefix and suffix rules apply identically nationwide.
关于使用业余无线电台呼号正确的是:
- A应当在每次通信建立时主动发送(报出)本台业余无线电台呼号
- B应当在每次通信结束时主动发送(报出)本台业余无线电台呼号
- C应当在每次通信过程中每十分钟发送(报出)本台业余无线电台呼号
- D应当在每次通信过程中主动发送(报出)自造的呼号作为本台业余无线电台呼号的补充
Which of the following statements about using an amateur radio station call sign is correct? (Choose all that apply.)
- AYou should actively transmit (announce) your own station call sign at the start of each contact
- BYou should actively transmit (announce) your own station call sign at the end of each contact
- CYou should transmit (announce) your own station call sign every ten minutes during each contact
- DYou should actively transmit a self-made call sign during each contact as a supplement to your station call sign
You must identify at the start (A) and end (B) of each contact, and at least every 10 minutes during it (C). Sending a made-up call sign as a supplement (D) is prohibited — only the real assigned call sign may be used.
US–China difference: This matches the US “ID at start, every 10 min, and at end” requirement exactly.
Common pitfall: Adding a nickname/”handle” as if it were part of your call sign.
Real on-air practice: “CQ CQ this is BG1XYZ, BG1XYZ” at start, “BG1XYZ clear” at end.
业余无线电台呼号由下列哪些部分组成:
- A呼号前缀
- B电台种类
- C分区编号
- D呼号后缀
An amateur radio station call sign consists of which of the following parts? (Choose all that apply.)
- Athe call-sign prefix
- Bthe station type
- Cthe district number
- Dthe call-sign suffix
A Chinese call sign is composed of four parts: prefix (A), station type (B), district number (C), and suffix (D). All four are required components.
US–China difference: The US call sign also has prefix + digit + suffix but lacks the explicit “station type” letter.
Common pitfall: Forgetting the station-type letter as a distinct component.
Real on-air practice: Decode any Chinese call sign into these four parts on the air.
《业余无线电台管理办法》要求业余电台在建立和结束通信时主动发送本台呼号。允许使用呼号的一部分(比如后缀)替代完整呼号的情况包括:
- A在任何情况下都必须使用完整的呼号
- B联络相识的友台时可将呼号的后缀用作电台标识
- C在VHF/UHF等本地频段建立通信时可将呼号的后缀用作电台标识
- D在HF频段联络国内电台时可将呼号的后缀用作电台标识,但是DX联络不可以
The Measures for the Administration of Amateur Radio Stations (《业余无线电台管理办法》) require an amateur station to actively transmit its own call sign when establishing and ending a contact. The situations that permit using part of the call sign (such as the suffix) in place of the full call sign include:
- AIn all cases the full call sign must be used
- BWhen contacting a familiar station, the suffix may be used as the station identifier
- CWhen establishing communication on local bands such as VHF/UHF, the suffix may be used as the station identifier
- DWhen contacting domestic stations on HF, the suffix may be used, but not for DX contacts
No partial call sign (suffix only) may substitute for the full call sign — the Measures require the complete call sign at start and end of every contact (A). Options B/C/D suggesting suffix-only ID in some cases are all incorrect.
US–China difference: The US is similarly strict: a partial ID is not a legal identification.
Common pitfall: Assuming “local band” or “familiar station” lets you use just the suffix.
Real on-air practice: Even chatting with a friend on 2 m, you still give the full “BG1XYZ.”
在业余无线电通联中,是否可将本台或对方电台呼号之中的地区码加后缀视作《业余无线电台管理办法》中的“电台呼号”?
- A不可以。这是对呼号的不完整表述。其不具标识意义,不能视作电台呼号
- B与熟悉的友台通联就可以使用这种不完整呼号。这就如同将对方称为OM
- C在VHF/UHF等频段进行通联可以使用这种不完整呼号。这会增加亲切感
- D在HF进行国内通联可以使用这种不完整呼号。但是如遇DX电台则不可以
In an amateur radio contact, may the district code plus suffix taken from your own or the other station’s call sign be regarded as the “station call sign” in the Measures for the Administration of Amateur Radio Stations (《业余无线电台管理办法》)?
- ANo. This is an incomplete expression of the call sign. It has no identifying meaning and cannot be regarded as the station call sign
- BWhen contacting a familiar station, this incomplete call sign may be used, just as one might call the other party “OM”
- COn bands such as VHF/UHF this incomplete call sign may be used, which adds a friendly feel
- DOn HF domestic contacts this incomplete call sign may be used, but not for DX stations
A district-code-plus-suffix fragment is an incomplete call sign with no identifying validity and cannot be treated as the station call sign (A). Familiarity, band, or domestic-vs-DX context do not make a partial ID acceptable (B, C, D wrong).
US–China difference: Same principle worldwide — only the full assigned call sign is a legal ID.
Common pitfall: Treating “1XYZ” as a valid identifier among friends.
Real on-air practice: Even casual rag-chews use the full “BG1XYZ,” never just “1XYZ.”
关于我国业余无线电台分区号,业余分区号为1的省(自治区、直辖市)为:
- A北京
- B黑龙江
- C河北
- D上海
Regarding China’s amateur radio station district numbers, the province (autonomous region / municipality directly under the central government) with district number 1 is:
- ABeijing
- BHeilongjiang
- CHebei
- DShanghai
District number 1 is Beijing (北京). Heilongjiang is 2, Hebei is 3, and Shanghai is 4 — so only A is correct.
US–China difference: US call areas are 0–9 by region; China’s district 1 = Beijing only.
Common pitfall: Confusing Beijing (1) with Shanghai (4) or Hebei (3).
Real on-air practice: A call sign with district “1” (e.g., BG1XYZ) is a Beijing station.
关于我国业余无线电台分区号,业余分区号为2的省(自治区、直辖市)为:
- A黑龙江
- B吉林

- AHeilongjiang
- BJilin
- CLiaoning
- DGuangdong
District 2 covers the three Northeast provinces: Heilongjiang (A), Jilin (B), and Liaoning (C). Guangdong is district 7, so D is wrong.
US–China difference: N/A — call districts are country-specific; memorize China’s map.
Common pitfall: Misplacing Guangdong (it is 7, not 2).
Real on-air practice: BH2xxx = a station in Heilongjiang/Jilin/Liaoning.
关于我国业余无线电台分区号,业余分区号为3的省(自治区、直辖市)为:

- DShanxi
District 3 includes Tianjin (A), Inner Mongolia (B), Hebei (C), and Shanxi (D). All four are correct.
US–China difference: N/A — a China-specific geography fact to memorize.
Common pitfall: Confusing Shanxi (3) with Shaanxi (9).
Real on-air practice: BG3xxx indicates one of these North China regions.
关于我国业余无线电台分区号,业余分区号为4的省(自治区、直辖市)为:
- A上海

US–China difference: N/A — memorize the China district map.
Common pitfall: Assigning Hainan (7) to district 4.
Real on-air practice: BD4xxx = Shanghai/Shandong/Jiangsu station.
关于我国业余无线电台分区号,业余分区号为5的省(自治区、直辖市)为:
- A浙江
- B江西
- C福建
- D广西
Regarding China’s amateur radio station district numbers, the provinces with district number 5 are: (Choose all that apply.)

以下呼号前缀中,所属CQ分区与埃及相同的是:
- A5A
- B5W
- C5T
- D5X
Among the following call-sign prefixes, which one belongs to the same CQ zone as Egypt?
- A5A
- B5W
- C5T
- D5X
Egypt lies in CQ zone 34. The prefix 5A is Libya, also in CQ zone 34, so it shares Egypt’s zone (A). The distractors are in other zones: 5W = Samoa (zone 32), 5T = Mauritania (zone 35), 5X = Uganda (zone 37).
US–China difference: CQ zones are a worldwide award system used identically by US and Chinese hams (e.g., for the WAZ award).
Common pitfall: Assuming all “5x” prefixes are in one zone — the second letter changes the country/zone.
Real on-air practice: Logging a 5A station counts toward the same CQ-zone credit as an SU (Egypt) contact.
3V、4X、5A和6Y字头分别代表国家:
- ATunis、Israel、Libya、Jamaica
- BGuinea、Israel、Fiji Islands、Senegal
- CLibya、Israel、Jamaica、Guinea
- DJamaica、Israel、Libya、Senegal
The prefixes 3V, 4X, 5A and 6Y respectively represent the countries:
- ATunisia, Israel, Libya, Jamaica
- BGuinea, Israel, Fiji Islands, Senegal
- CLibya, Israel, Jamaica, Guinea
- DJamaica, Israel, Libya, Senegal
These are standard call-sign prefixes: 3V = Tunisia (突尼斯/Tunis), 4X = Israel, 5A = Libya, 6Y = Jamaica. Option A lists them in the correct order; the others misassign countries.
US–China difference: Same ITU prefix table is memorized by hams everywhere for DX work.
Common pitfall: Mixing up 5A (Libya) with 6Y (Jamaica) or 3V (Tunisia) with 3X (Guinea).
Real on-air practice: Hearing “CQ from 4X…” tells you it’s an Israel station for your DXCC list.
我国的NCDXF/IARU信标台呼号是:
- AVR2B
- BBS7H
- CB0CRA
- D4U1UN
The call sign of China’s NCDXF/IARU beacon station is:
- AVR2B
- BBS7H
- CB0CRA
- D4U1UN
The NCDXF/IARU (Northern California DX Foundation / International Amateur Radio Union) beacon network includes a Chinese beacon with the call sign VR2B (Hong Kong). BS7H is the Huangyan Island (Scarborough) coral-island activation, B0CRA is a China Radio Association special-event call, and 4U1UN is the UN station in New York — none is the Chinese NCDXF/IARU beacon.
US–China difference: The NCDXF beacon network is a global resource; US hams also use it to check propagation, including the VR2B node.
Common pitfall: Confusing VR2B (the beacon) with BS7H (a rare-island DXpedition call).
Real on-air practice: Tune the 14 MHz NCDXF beacon band and listen for VR2B’s CW identifier to judge the opening to Asia.
下列哪些呼号前缀不属于空间业余无线电台:
- ABY1
- BBR1
- CBS1
- DBJ1
Which of the following call-sign prefixes do NOT belong to space amateur radio stations? (Choose all that apply.)
- ABY1
- BBR1
- CBS1
- DBJ1
In China’s call-sign plan the prefix “BJ” is assigned to space (satellite) amateur stations, so BJ1 is a space-station prefix and is therefore NOT selected. The prefixes BY, BR and BS are used for ordinary ground-based or other amateur stations and do NOT denote space stations, so A, B and C are the correct “does not belong” choices.
US–China difference: US amateur-satellite stations carry “AM” or special “NA1SS”-style identifiers; China uses the BJ prefix for its satellites.
Common pitfall: Forgetting that BJ (not BY/BS/BR) is the space prefix, and thus wrongly including D.
Real on-air practice: A “BJ” beacon heard on a satellite downlink marks a Chinese amateur-satellite station.
