UV-K5 Spectrum Analyzer
A real-time on-screen energy plot — great for finding repeaters and interference in the field.
What is the spectrum analyser
The fagci spectrum analyser built into egzumer shows, on the small screen, a real-time energy plot of a frequency span (like a portable SDR) — handy for spotting active frequencies, interference and free bands.
How to open it
In egzumer, enter the “Spectrum / scan” view via a function key or menu (entry differs by version — often a long-press of a function key or a Spectrum item in the menu). Set the scan span (e.g. 144–148 MHz).
Typical uses
- Find repeaters: sweep the local repeater band to see which spots show steady activity.
- Find interference: sweep a free segment before a field deployment.
- SOTA/POTA: gauge band activity without a laptop.
Resolution & limits

The on-screen window is about ±800 kHz; dynamic range and resolution are limited — it does not replace a measurement receiver. It gives an overview, not a precise spectrum.
Can the analyser act as an SDR?
Similar but far less: only a real-time energy bar, no demodulation or recording.
How wide can it scan?
About ±800 kHz window per screen; move the centre frequency to scan wider.
Is it in stock firmware?
No. You need egzumer or another firmware that bundles the fagci spectrum.
